How to care jewelry?

Tip 1. Take It Off

Take it off when swimming, gardening, household cleaning or moving heavy objects. Avoid exposing to some harsh chemicals or environments may result in compromising the integrity of your jewelry, like lotions, hairspray, perfume, cosmetic, etc.

Tip 2. Keep It Safe

Store your jewelry in a container and prevent pieces from moving around.

Keep your jewelry in a fabric-lined jewelry case, or in a box with compartments and dividers to keep it free from lotion, sunscreen and perfume.

It is recommended to wrap each piece individually in soft tissue paper if you prefer using ordinary boxes.

Store your jewelry box in a dry, cool and secure location.

How to clean jewelry?

Sterling Silver Jewelry

Polishing is the most effective solution when tarnishing is not too severe. It is highly recommend that you should stay away from paper towels or tissues because they contain fibers that scratch silver.

Tips 1. Polishing Cloth

An easy way to refresh your sterling silver is using a jewelry polishing cloth, which will remove the tarnish and smudging. Polishing cloths are available at any jewelers and pharmacies.

Tip 2. Soap & Water

Warm water and a mild, ammonia and phosphate-free dish washing soap is a great way when polishing fails to remove the tarnish.

Tip 3. Baking Soda & Water

Make a paste using baking soda and water. To apply, use a pea-sized amount of the paste on your silver and polish. If you’re cleaning sterling silver that has more detail, thin your paste out with more water and use a soft-bristled toothbrush for cracks and crevices.

Tip 4. White Vinegar & Baking Soda

If you’re wondering how to clean a sterling silver ring, this combination is an excellent gentle cleaner that removes heavy tarnish. Soak your tarnished jewelry in a ½ cup of white vinegar with 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Warning: this mixture fizzes. Keep your sterling silver in this solution for two to three hours, rinse and dry.

Tip 5.  Olive Oil & Lemon Juice

Firstly, Mix ½ cup lemon juice with 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large bowl.

Secondly, use a small microfiber cloth and dip it in the solution.

Thirdly, use this cloth to polish your sterling silver, rinse and dry.

Diamond

Tip. Diamond Cloth

A diamond sparkles by reflecting light. light won’t be able to pass through and the diamond won’t scintillate if a diamond is dirty with even just a finger smudge.

Use a lint-free diamond cloth to quickly remove smudges and skin oils.

Place the diamond inside the cloth and rub it firmly.

Be sure to never touch the inside of the cloth because this will only add unwanted skin oils to your cleaning cloth.
